Hasan Ali, Pakistan's quick bowler, who has been under vast criticism following his dull performances in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2021, is backed by the captain, Babar Azam.
Azam says he cannot even think of dropping Hasan from the squad as he is the key player, who has been winning matches, tournaments for the country.
Babar further urged that ups and downs are part of every player's career and they cannot be eliminated on behalf of a few substandard showcases.
Notably, Hasan has clutched only five wickets in five games Pakistan have contested in the T20 World Cup 2021. Although the men in green's performances have been remarkable as they are the only unbeaten side of the contest, but Hasan's performances have been subjected to queries.
While backing him, the skipper says the whole team stands behind Hasan, who is also the highest t20 wicket-taker of 2021.
"I can't think of leaving him out. He is my main bowler. He has won us matches, won us tournaments. Ups and downs are part of anyone's career and when you are little down, you must back your key player and the whole team is behind him. He is mentally very strong and I believe he is a big match player and will deliver in semi-finals.”
It is pretty sure that the pacer will be part of the semifinal vs Australia scheduled for 11th November at the Dubai International Stadium. It is pertinent to mention that Pakistan became the first team to qualify for the T20 World Cup 2021 semifinals.
