The HBL Pakistan Super League draft (PSL 2022 draft) kick-started on Sunday at the National High-Performance Center, Lahore, as the six franchises named their picks according to the pick order.
Platinum Category:
The first pick belonged to Lahore Qalandars who re-picked Fakhar Zaman in the platinum category. In this category, Karachi Kings named Chris Jordan, Multan Sultans opted for Tim David, Islamabad United picked Colin Munro, Peshawar Zalmi looked after Hazratulah Zazai, whereas, Jason Roy got picked by Quetta Gladiators.
Diamond Category:
The diamond category includes the names of Marchant de Lange for United, Odean Smith for Sultans, Lewis Gregory for Kings, and James Faulkner for the Gladiators.
Gold Category:
In the gold category, Qalandars picked Harry Book, Abdullah Shafiq, and Phil Salt whereas, Zalmi opted for Usman Qadir.

Silver Category Round 1:
For the Silver Category round 1, Zalmi picked Salman Arshad, Sultans chose Rumman Raees and Asif Afridi, Kings picked Umaid Asif, Qalandars chose Kamran Ghulam and United chose M Akhlaq.

Silver Category Round 2:
On the other hand, round 2 of the silver category saw Sultans picking Anwar Ali, United going with Reece Topley and Danish Aziz, Kings selecting Tom Abell, Qalandars choosing Dean Foxcroft, and Gladiators preferring Umar Akmal.

Silver Category Round 3:
While naming round 3 of the silver category, Sohail Tanvir went to the Gladiators, Rohail Nazir and Imran Jnr to Kings, Zafar Gohar to United, Arshad Iqbal to Zalmi, and Rovman Powell to Sultans.

Round 4 of the silver category includes Kamran Akmal and Sameen Gul in Zalmi, Naveen ul Haq, Khurram Shehzad, and Ben Duckett in Gladiators, whereas, Imran Khan Snr in Sultans.

Emerging Round 1:
The emerging category's round 1 witnessed Qalandars preferring Zaman Khan, Sultans voting for Abbas Afridi, Kings picked Faisal Akram and whilst using the match card, they also selected Qasim Akram, Sirajuddin went to Zalmi, Abdul Wahid Bangalzai moved to Gladiators, whereas, United opted for Mubasir Khan.
