The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the schedule for the West Indies tour of Pakistan. The men in maroon will visit the cricket-loving nation in June to play a three-match ODI series from 8th to 12th June.
Earlier, the three ODIs were part of the West Indies tour of Pakistan 2021, however, after the guests' camp was attacked with COVID cases, the two boards trimmed the series with mutual consent. The schedule for the cancelled ODIs was to be announced later which has been revealed on 28th March, Monday.
Notably, the three ODI to be played in June will be part of the ICC ODI World Cup Super League. The top seven-placed sides from this event plus ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 hosts India will qualify directly for the pinnacle 50-over competition, which will be staged next year in October/November.
The West Indies team will arrive in Islamabad on 5th June to play the series at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. It must be noted CWI has also announced to play three-match t20I series the schedule of which will be announced later. Below is the Pak vs WI ODI series schedule.
