The second ODI between Pakistan Women and Sri Lanka Women marks a historic over for the hosts over the guests by 2-0 in a three-match series and one game to spare. Bismah Maroof and co earlier registered a 3-0 victory in the T20I series handing over the whitewash to Sri Lanka Women's cricket team.
With the final chance left to clean sweep them in the concluding ODI, Maroof's team is looking to register some more records after enlisting multiple feats during Pak W vs SL W 2nd ODI.
While batting first, Sidra Amin and Muneeba Ali scored a 158-run partnership stand, which is now the highest first-wicket stand for Pakistani women. Concerning Sidra, the top-order batter slammed her second century in the format, equalling Javeriya Khan's record to become the second Pakistani women cricketer to have the most number of ODI centuries.
Sidra's first ODI century came versus Bangladesh during the ICC ODI World Cup 2022, however, it went in vain since the team ended in a losing cause. She is now also the second-highest individual scorer in the One-Day Internationals after Javeriya, who slammed 133* against the same team in 2014. Notably, Sidra was the top-scorer of Pak W vs SL W 2nd ODI scoring 123 on just 150 balls.
Notably, Sidra and Muneeba's stand is also the second-best overall (at any wicket stand) as the first best was Bismah and Nida Dar's 188-run stand against Ireland in 2013. Furthermore, captain Bismah put up 36* off 43 balls and is now the highest ODI run-scorer for the country.
