Pakistan Cricket Board and England and Wales Cricket Board are finalizing their developments for the upcoming seven-match T20I series and Test series as England are set to tour Pakistan for the first time in 17 years.
While deciding the details, it has been heard that National Stadium Karachi is not on the list to host any match and Rawalpindi, Multan, and Lahore will get a chance to embrace the historic tour.
It is learnt that England will visit Pakistan in the second week of September. After playing the T20I matches, both teams will fly to Australia for the T20 World Cup 2022 and will get back to Pakistan to wind up the series playing scheduled Tests.
Notably, ECB cancelled their tour of Pakistan which was scheduled before the T20 World Cup 2022 following New Zealand Cricket's decision to abandon the tour minutes before the first game started. They cited players' mental well-being and COVID reasons and were heavily criticised.
