India are scheduled to play a five-match T20I series against the West Indies starting on July 29th. To encounter the away series, the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) has named an 18-member squad, however, Virat Kohli is nowhere to be seen.
The reasons for the fans are legit to query if their favourite star is rested as narrated by the BCCI or dropped following crushed performances. No doubt, the ex-Indian skipper has been one of the greatest batters but his suffering form over the last many months is questionable for his spot in the team.
Fans believe it is too much of a back-to-back chance amidst the poor form. It is now to see if Kohli has been rested, or no more is in the BCCI's future plans. All ifs and buts will be cleared once India name their squad for the upcoming Asia Cup 2022 scheduled in Sri Lanka.
Apart from Kohli, the bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Yuzvendra Chahal have also been sidelined. Whereas, Kuldeep Yadav and KL Rahul have made it to the squad following their fitness. Ravichandran Ashwin has also earned his place back inspiring the selectors lately.
Here is the complete squad of the men in blue for the Ind vs WI five-match T20I series:
