The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has named Mohammad Yousuf as the new permanent batting coach of the national team. The former cricketer is now eased from his coaching post at the National High-Performance Center and will be in charge of the Pakistan Cricket Team's coaching.
The national cricketing body will soon open the hirings for the NHPC batting coach as a replacement for Yousuf. Currently, he is with the national team in Sri Lanka for the two-match Test series, in which Pakistan lead by 1-0.
Moreover, Australia's Matthew Hayden will act as the batting consultant for the upcoming t20 World Cup 2022. He was coaching his national team in the recent Pak vs Aus series, but according to head coach Saqlain Mushtaq, Hayden was appointed for the post temporarily.
It must be noted that Yousuf was earlier made Pakistan's batting coach only for the home series against Australia. As far as Pakistan's bowling coach is concerned, Shaun Tait is handling the duties on a 12-month contract.
