The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has granted No-Objection Certificate to 43 Pakistani players for the upcoming edition of the Big Bash League (BBL 12). Earlier, a list of 98 cricketers for the BBL draft was revealed, including no Pakistani, since it was said that PCB would not issue NOC to them. However, all the stories come to an end with 43 Pakistani cricketers getting NOC for the Australian league.
The BBL draft for season 12 now has 100 plus foreign cricketers. The reputed names from Pakistan are Imad Wasim, Shadab Khan, Sarfaraz Ahmed and others. It must be noted that all-format Pakistani cricketers, including Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Mohammad Rizwan, are not allowed to take part in BBL 12 following their importance.
Many of the 43 cricketers will be partially available for BBL 12 since the league's schedule clashes with Pakistan's renowned domestic tournament and international fixtures such as home series against New Zealand and England. Also, some would not be able to take part in upcoming Pakistan's domestic and international fixtures, being fully available for BBL 12.
It must be noted that BBL 12 kick starts on 5th December 2022 and will extend till late January 2023.
