Pakistan's international quick pace bowler, Shaheen Shah Afridi has been embraced by Middlesex Cricket for the 2022 season as the county unveiled the news with great delights to welcome the chap.
The left-arm pacer will join the county before the season kick starts and will remain with the fellows until joins Pakistan cricket back for the national commitments. He will be available to don Middlesex jersey in County Championship to that point and for the entirety of the 2022 Vitality Blast campaign, including the knockout stages of the tournament if his club qualifies.
Middlesex and devotees remember Shaheen's monstrous pace and performance during the Vitality Blast 2020 in the Club's final game for Hampshire. The county knows he can be destructive at times as he grasped four wickets on four deliveries.
Having a great and phenomenal advantage to his pace, Afridi extracts most of the bounce on various tracks and pulls the most out of them. It will be not wrong to say that Shaheen is one of the finest quick left-arm pacers Pakistan has ever produced.
The restless and reckless bowler has been witnessed bowling with a consistent good length, probably lethal yorkers. Middlesex looks forward to pulling the most out of the talented bowler.
So far, he has represented men in green in 19 Test games and owes 76 wickets at an extraordinary economy of 3.07. In the truncated career he has built up so far, he has a long list of inspirational records. Alongside having three five-wicket hauls to his name, he recently popped up with an unusual ten-wicket-haul versus West Indies at Sabina Park.
