The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), on Friday, conducted a Governing Council meeting including all six franchises at Lahore's National High-Performance Center. According to the details shared so far, the eighth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 2023) will take place between February 9th and March 19th, 2023.
The board also mentioned the probable venues to host PSL 2023. Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Multan stadiums are likely to be the four venues to host six teams in the upcoming edition; however, Peshawar's Arbab Niaz Stadium has once again been expelled from the venues list.
Notably, the fans have been furiously reacting to Arbab Niaz Stadium's construction undergoing yet, slamming the slower-than-average progress. Since 2020, it has been said that the forthcoming PSL matches will also be hosted at Peshawar's delight; nevertheless, the commitments have not yet been implicated.
The rest of the details will be shared in the upcoming meetings that will commence next week to discuss the plans to make PSL 2023 a massive success. The PCB chairman Mr Ramiz Raja also congratulated franchises and Governing Council for being a part of PSL 2022 success. The edition uninterruptedly took place within the country for the first time since the league's launching.
