Pakistan Cricket Team has reached the final of Asia Cup 2022 after defeating Afghanistan in a nail-biting clash. The game could have been easily chased by the green batters, but quality bowling from Umar Gul's trained bowlers dragged the match till the final over.
Mohammad Nabi's batters amassed 129 runs on the loss of six wickets in the first inning but made sure to star with the bowl while defending the underdogs' target. Pakistani batters, who were really impressive versus India in their last match, almost trembled versus Afghanistan.
However, after a verbal spat on the field between Asif Ali and Fareed Ahmad, things got much heated among the two, wanting to win at any cost. Naseem Shah, the pacer, came into bat with the final wicket left and did not spare the bowler Fazalhaq Farooqi smashing him two sixes to windup the game.
The youngster furiously celebrated the team's stint in the final, as they will now clash against Afghanistan on September 11th. Afghanistan and India will soon catch their flights back home after completing their Super 4 campaign against each other on Thursday.
Naseem, who did not only inspire the lookouts with match-winning sixes but also got an astonishing spell of 4-0-19-1, is gathering praises from all across the cricket world. Let's have a look:
