The player draft for the eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 2023) is revolving just around the corner, and the six franchises have been making astonishing 'retain and release'. With the entire retention list to be revealed in a few minutes, it has been finalized that Quetta Gladiators' Naseem Shah is no more interlinked with the franchise.
According to reliable sources, he has been offered a 'worth it' deal by any other franchise which has promised to have him in the Platinum Category. The development was confirmed by the franchise owner Nadeem Omar in a presser. It has also been confirmed that Umar Akmal will continue his journey with the franchise this season.
Moreover, it was heard that Babar Azam of Karachi Kings is likely to join Quetta Gladiators as a result of a 'big trade'. Skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed too has been big-hearted to skip his seat so Azam can enjoy leadership perks in the Gladiators.
At the same time, it has been reported that Peshawar Zalmi and the Kings are up to a big trade. It includes the Yellow army's Shoaib Malik going to the Kings, whereas Kings' Azam being traded to Zalmi. Javed Afridi's cryptic tweet, 'Alhamdulillah' might be a big hint at it.
It must be noted that PSL 8 draft is all set to be staged during the third week of November, whereas the tournament will kick-start in mid-February.
