The first-ever release of the UAE's International League T20 (ILT20 2023) is all set to showcase world-class cricketers, including the star-studded performers from the recently-concluded ICC T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia.
UAE's ILT20 is scheduled to begin on January 6th. Many top performers of the World Cup 2022 will be seen donning the kits of various teams. Notably, five of the six ILT20 teams are owned by the Indian Premier League's franchises' owners. To mention the World Cup 2022 superstars gearing up for ILT20, England's Alex Hales, the second-highest run-getter from his team in the marquee event, is ready to wear a Desert Vipers jersey in the first-ever ILT20.
Hales' mates, Moeen Ali, Chris Jordan, Dawid Malan, and Chris Woakes, are also all set to be part of the second cash-rich league in the world after IPL. Where Jordan is hired by Gulf Giants, the rest of the three will be seen in action for Sharjah Warriors.
Not only from England but players from many other countries have also shown their interest in grabbing lucrative deals. New Zealand's speedster Trent Boult is getting ready to wear the MI Emirates kit in the ILT20 2023.
Furthermore, Afghanistan's all-rounder, Mohammad Nabi, is ready to shine in Sharjah Warriors jersey. He will be accompanied by his counterparts Naven ul Haq and Rahmanullah Gurbaz on the Warriors' side. As far as more players from Afghanistan are concerned, Fazal Haq Farooqi & Najibullah Zadran will be playing for the MI Emirates. At the same time, Mujeeb Ur Rahman & Hazratullah Zazai will picture their skill for the Dubai Capitals.
Netherland's all-rounder Bas de Leeder will be another contestant in Mumbai Indians-owned MI Emirates. Nevertheless, his mates Frederick Klaassen and Brandon Glover will be seen in the Dubai Capitals and Abu Dhabi Knight Riders sides in sequence.
The ILT20 2023 will also witness multiple Caribbean players who participated in the World Cup 2022. Akeal Hosein and Raymon Reifer will represent the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders. A long list of players from Sri Lanka's World Cup 2022 squad is also all set to don various teams' jerseys in the ILT20. The names include Dushmantha Chameera, Dasun Shanaka and Bhanuka Rajapaksa for the Dubai Capitals. Also, Wanindu Hasaranga and Charith Asalanka will take part for Desert Vipers and Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, respectively.
The first edition of ILT20 will also include players from Zimbabwe, Namibia, Ireland, and Scotland. Dubai Capitals team have signed deals with Zimbabwe's Blessing Muzarabani and Sikandar Raza. At the same time, Namibia's Jonathan Smit, Ruben Trumpelmann, and David Wiese are ready for Sharjah Warriors, Desert Vipers, and Gulf Giants, respectively.
Moreover, Ireland's player Paul Stirling will be offering his all-rounding services for Abu Dhabi Knight Riders. Meanwhile, the Scottish players include George Munsey for Dubai Capitals and Brad Wheal for MI Emirates.
