Sri Lankan cricketer Dinesh Chandimal has praised Pakistan's skipper Babar Azam for his consistent performance and ability to adapt to different styles of cricket. In an interview with Cricket Pakistan, Chandimal stated that Babar Azam is his favorite among all Pakistan batsmen. He also said that maintaining consistency in performance is not an easy task, but Babar Azam has performed well in all three formats and adapts to every style of cricket very quickly.
Regarding the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka by Pakistan team, Chandimal said that the Sri Lanka team is looking forward to playing good cricket against Pakistan, who is a very good team.
When asked about not playing in the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL), Chandimal expressed his desire to play in the tournament and said that he has put his name in the auction every year for the past two years but hasn't had the opportunity to do so yet. He added that if he gets the chance and contract, he would definitely come to Pakistan to play.
Chandimal also thanked the Emirates Cricket Board for organizing such a big tournament like PSL and providing an excellent platform for international, UAE, and associate member cricketers to showcase their talent. He said that the experience of playing in UAE has been good and the conditions and pitches are challenging for the batters. He concluded by saying that the squad of Desert Vipers, which he is part of, includes many experienced cricketers and they are determined to perform well in the tournament.
