The most awaited encounter of the ICC T20 World Cup, India vs Pakistan, has finally been down and dusted with several records been made for the men in green following their historic victory versus India.
The men in green were yet to win a world cup game against the men in blue. Advantageous country, having cricket-crazy fans, looked super excited and confident ahead of the clash similarly as they were back in the Champions Trophy 2017. The results were later similar either or maybe more horrendous.
The Indian troop could not pick up a single wicket of Babar Azam and co while defending their decent target. However, during the first inning, they lost seven potent lined-up players on dangerous Pakistani deliveries.
Consequently, the green shirts won the game by 10 wickets registering the top-notched record, that too versus India, alongside several majestic records that will be cherished even many decades later.
Following their winning streak versus Pakistan, Indians looked optimistic of continuing the consecutive accomplishments, however, Babar was not less optimistic either. He said it and did it becoming the first-ever Pakistani captain to defeat India in World Cup; T20 or ODI.
On the other hand, Virat Kohli achieved an unwanted milestone of becoming the first Indian captain to lose against Pakistan in a World Cup match.
However, the T20 World Cup 2021 campaign for both teams does not end here. Kohli, learning from his mistakes, is keen to overcome them in the next encounter. India are scheduled to play their second game versus New Zealand on 31st August. Pakistan will battle versus the same opponent on 26th October as Babar and chaps are set to win it big this time.
